The best route isn't on any map. Feet don't need directions.

The Translator-ator
Give it a crank to read Tripp in Spanish.
The verse
Tripp is a kid whose moral compass is just.
He views sitting still with overwhelming disgust.
Armed with a map and a chart,
He considers travel as art.
For nothing can satiate his wanderlust.
Who is Tripp?
Tripp may be Latino, but his name comes from the Dutch - Trippen. It means skip or hop. It also meant to step lightly. You know? Like a dance step. In fact, Tripp is a superstar on KwikKlip. Kids in Weirdford were doing the "Tripp Trip" for weeks.
Tripp just kept trippen. Just a light step here. A light step there. It was never about the destination. In fact, Tripp treks everywhere. Stopping just feels wrong. When he reaches the edge of Betwixt, he just turns and explores another direction.
I guess you could say he’s full of Wanderlust - Wandern, meaning to hike or roam. And Lust, meaning desire or pleasure.
Now, I know what you’re thinking - isn’t lust a dirty word?
Nope. Lust is German. There’s Kunstlust - a desire for art. Fernlust - a desire for the distant. And Tripp’s favorite - Lebenslust - a lust for life.
Dream has even promised to show Tripp how to travel in his dreams one day. Tripp can’t wait for the day he can visit Kubla Khan and El Dorado!
So, no. Wanderlust isn’t a dirty word. It’s a desire to travel and see places you’ve never experienced before. Tripp always says “Wandering souls leave the deepest footprints.”
For the big kids
Tripp is a character, not a diagnosis. Tripp is not about wanderlust any more than a kid is about their hair color. Please introduce them as a neighbor.

Field notes
You could have met Tripp before anyone else
But you don't have to miss out on all the new residents and new hood construction.
Gossip loves keeping everyone up to date on what's happening. If you sign up for the field notes, she'd be happy to sit on the porch with you once a month.
She promises to write only once a month to start. She'd write more often, but we only have so much tea to spill.
